The Prez parked at 650 Church St. recently. This is the lot on the corner of Bloor a couple of blocks east of Yonge St. The big metal parking box power sanded the Prez's gold card and would not dispense a parking sticker. I tried multiple times. Upon the return of the Prez there was a "Parking Invoice" for $69.75 that would be discounted down to $39.00 if paid promptly on the Internet.
I have paid the bill but I feel completely ripped off.
The way I read this it is not an official yellow parking ticket. I have aready talked to the people who answer the phone for this parking corporation. This looks like a complete swindle. Would anyone recommend contacting any Toronto political hacks that award these bullshit franchises to at least file a complaint? Having a machine that chews up credit cards and then issuing "tickets" in the form of these inflated billings seems very dishonest.
At any rate, massageplanetites should be warned about parking in this scammer lot. It has a large yellow sign. It is on the corner of Church St. and Bloor.
