Acne Rosacea - contraindication!!

Can anyone tell me if you would class this as a local contraidication. I have a client who has acne but flares up only when stressed. Im not sure if i should work the face during my massage routine as this is going in my ITEC case study. And i have lost my sheet with all my local contraindications on it. Please help!!

Hello, I checked my text book and it didn't say anything about acne, but it said a 'local irritable skin condition' would be a local contra-indication, so maybe it would fall under that category. You could tell your profsomething likeyou won't be massaging the face because your client doesn't want you to. Hope this helped!

I think you will find that massage might irritate the affected areas, this will depend a lot on how you massage and what you use as a lubricant, Aloe Vera seems to be a good choice if you wish to try and massage the area, but try a small area first and see how it reacts.
