One could argue that, but that one is certainly not you. You are not qualified to discuss a subject that is clearly beyond your scope.

How about you answer the logical question instead:

Would you feel safe knowing that uninsured drivers are on the same road as you everyday? WHY?

You’ve contradicted yourself every post. At least I’m consistent.

I tried to ignore it, but there you go again. Your analogy doesn’t make sense. First, regardless of someone’s insurance status, if they crash into you, your insurance covers you. Second, insurance is pretty guaranteed to cover you. We don’t see 13,339 (today’s Covid cases) failed claims per day. Third, an uninsured driver isn’t any more likely to crash into you than an insured driver.

So yes, I’d feel safe.

We’ve had tens of thousands of cases every day in Ontario for the last 2 weeks. It made headlines every day. Vaxxed and unvaxxed are getting infected equally. The vax has no efficacy against omicron, and waning efficacy on delta.

If 100% of ICU patients were vaccinated, we would definitively know the vaccines’ efficacy. One might even argue it’s better to be unvaccinated.

Your last sentence shows your thinking is very muddied on this. You should reassess. If 100% of people were vaccinated, then obviously all ICU patients would be vaccinated. What would that tell you about how well the vaccine works? Nothing. How can you possibly believe that would make a case for being unvaccinated?? Again, if everyone wore seatbelts, there would still be traffic fatalities. Would that be an argument for not wearing a seatbelt? That's essentially the logic you're employing.

I don't argue about transmission stats, because I haven't seen any conclusive data, most probably because it's almost impossible to determine if someone is infected by a vaccinated or unvaccinated person.

However, when it comes to lessening the risk of serious illness or death, the facts are in, the vaccine is very effective.

The way you are understanding ICU numbers you are comparing apples to oranges. As I said, the only way to do it is to compare equal size groups and see how many patients from each go on to develop serious cases of covid. It's the only measurement that matters as far as the vaccine is concerned.

The last sentence was a joke and was a response to the unlikely scenario of “even if 100% were vaccinated” Frank presented. But, if 100% of ICU patients were vaccinated, and were in ICU because of Covid, along with thousands of vaccinated Covid+ people, I don’t believe there’s any conclusion except for, the vaccines don’t work very well.

Why do we keep moving the goal posts? We started with, the vaccines will prevent you from getting Covid. Then, the symptoms are less because of the vaccines. Then, the vaccines prevent hospitalization and death. Now that we have many in hospitals and ICU beds, will it be “the vaccines prevent death”?

The seatbelt analogy is a good one, but doesn’t account for the traditional term vaccine. The polio, MMR etc. vaccines actually prevent “traffic fatalities”, to keep the analogy going. The little bit of infection and spread are actual breakthrough cases.

We keep dancing around the fact that the Covid vaccine isn’t a vaccine, by definition. It can no longer be called a vaccine with the myriads of breakthroughs. That’s why the CDC changed the definition. In the past, vaccines this leaky have been modified, or even discontinued. We’re getting boosters. Which booster will we say enough?

or a 300 pound slob who had a trash diet and never exercised, made full recoveries within a few days to a week through treatments which already existed.

I guess Turdo is too lazy to read the weekly covid stats which show the vaxxed are doing most of the spreading. We will never get back to normal if only the vaccine is used, since the virus continues to mutate. Early treatment, which up to now has been suppressed is necessary.
